I Didn’t Fall

I Didn’t Fall

October 6, 2020

Well obviously this is a humorous take on falling.  Unfortunately, falling is a common occurrence for a wide range of age groups.  Many individuals believe falling is a “normal” part of aging.  However, falling is generally indicative of a physical impairment or disease process and may lead to serious injuries.

According to the National Council on Aging, an older adult is treated in the ER for a fall every 11 seconds and every 19 minutes an older adult dies from fall.  Many of these falls are preventable with proper home modifications and proper medical intervention.  The key is to PREVENT falls! Don’t wait for that first fall or that first injury caused by a fall.  In coming posts I will address FAQ’s by current and past patients as well as provide professional insight as to how to begin your fall prevention.

Let us know if you have any questions.
