PT, DPT, CSCS
Physical Therapist
I was born in Virginia and mostly grew up in the Midwest and the deep south before I attended the United States Military Academy for my undergraduate education. I graduated with a degree in kinesiology and was commissioned as an Army Aviation Officer/Blackhawk helicopter pilot. After serving for just over 8 years, my family and I moved to Scranton, PA where I attended the University of Scranton for my doctorate of physical therapy education. I finished my last clinical coursework here at Impact Physio and I joined the team shortly after graduating.
In addition to my military/leadership experience, I previously worked part time as a sports-performance coach in the NEPA area where I worked in individual and group settings with young middle school to college level athletes from a variety of sports.
I have my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification, NASM Personal Trainer Certification, NASM Certified Sports Nutrition Coach, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), and Army Master Fitness Trainer certifications.
My Core Values Are: Faith, Family, Health, Profession (PT) I also deeply value being able to trust others. I love being part of a team – especially smaller groups (~4-10) where I can get to know others on a deeper level and let my strengths play off of theirs.
“To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.” -Steve Prefontaine
I am a physical therapist who helps patients with acute or chronic musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, or cardiopulmonary conditions return to their prior level of function.
Pain and movement limitations cause a lot of mental/emotional stress on us, and I want to help my patients find ways to mitigate some of this stress in the short term while in the long term we help them move and feel better so their stress is hopefully abolished completely.
I enjoy working with and treating patients of all ages and conditions. It is especially fun getting to work with someone who has a sport, job, or hobby they are trying to get back to that I don’t know much about because then I get to do a deep-dive into something new and get creative with how to help them get back to what they love doing.
I love the culture – we all operate well as a team and support each other in our professional and personal goals. I also enjoy how we get to spend more 1-on-1 time with patients compared to a traditional outpatient physical therapy clinic, which let’s me really get to know my patient’s on a deeper level and more individually tailor their treatment.
