John Salva - Physical Therapist
John helps people of all ages remain active and participate in the sports they love.
Aside from Impact Physio, John is an adjunct professor at the University of Scranton and a member of the Sports Safety team at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NY.
John earned a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Scranton in 1999. He has been certified in Dry Needling and as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. He regularly attends continuing education seminars and has been a speaker at local and regional educational meetings. His interests include fitness, basketball, golf and time with family.
Drew Babcanec - Physical Therapist
Drew graduated from Duquesne University in 2012 with a double major in Biology and Health Sciences. He continued his education at Duquesne, earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2014.
Drew is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the APTA and a Certified Functional Strength Coach. He is also certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, and Advanced Work Rehabilitation. He regularly attends conferences and continuing education courses and most recently attended McGill Level 1: Building the Ultimate Back.
Drew has a special interest in patients with low back pain and various lower extremity diagnoses. He also has a passion for sports performance and has worked previously with the University of Scranton Women’s Tennis Team. He believes quality human movement is essential to living a pain-free lifestyle and improving athletic performance.
Nick Chupick - Physical Therapist Assistant
Nick graduated with his Bachelor’s in Sports and Health Sciences from Clark’s Summit University in 2017, then continued at Lackawanna College to earn his Associates as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant where he graduated in 2020. Nick also works per diem at Allied Services Rehabilitation Hospital where he gains valuable experience working with patients recovering from spinal cord injuries, stroke, Parkinson Disease, etc.
Nick has a number of hobbies including weight lifting, playing sports, serving as a vocalist in the band at Parker Hill Church, adventuring with his wife, and playing with Hank, his puppy.
As the newest member of the Impact Physio treatment team, Nick is enthusiastic about developing relationships with his patients while helping them achieve their rehab goals.
Teresa Salva - Practice Manager
Throughout this time, Teresa developed an interest and skills needed for healthcare management, transitioning to the role of Practice Manager at Impact Physio in 2014.
Keeping a healthy work/life balance is important to Teresa. She spends spare time spoiling her dog, walking, and exercising. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Annie Comcowich - Client Care Coordinator
Annie started her career in Customer Service at the age of 13 and has been enjoying it ever since. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College in Albany, NY.
Impact Physio has allowed her to further hone her customer service skills in the field of Physical Therapy.
Her interests include spending time with her husband, 2 daughters and their three dogs, reading, playing games and football. You can catch her rooting for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the Minnesota Vikings.
Charlie - CME
She has been working part time as our CME – no, not Chief Medical Examiner, but rather our Chief Mood Enhancer.
She loves to “make friends” and is willing to have her belly rubbed by ANYONE. She is most often in the office in the afternoon but she can also be made available upon request.
